Training & professional development
Innovative workplace learning & professional development for galleries, libraries, archives and museums.

Artefacto run a range of bespoke training sessions and workshops on a range of topics to help your staff get the most from new and emerging technologies.

All of our workshops are practical, participatory and customisable.

Workshops can be customised to suit staff availability and delivered onsite (UK) or online, as per your institution’s needs.

Our current training programmes include:

Introduction to Maker technologies for staff

A short introductory course for library, museum and gallery staff interested in makerspaces and digital making. This course will help you learn practical skills about maker technologies (including Raspberry Pi, Makey Makey and more) and how to implement these in your own events.

Creating interactive community spaces

A practical and active course about providing better user experiences and making spaces more engaging and interactive using emerging technologies such as beacons, augmented reality (AR), sensors, digital displays and more.

Designing user-driven services with design thinking

Applying design thinking and user experience (UX) techniques to help design user-driven, innovative services for your users.

We've delivered custom training courses for:

  • Kent Libraries
  • Redbridge Libraries
  • Oxfordshire Libraries
  • Hertfordshire Libraries
  • Surrey Libraries
  • Liverpool Libraries
